Asian countries welcome Iran's gas oil

TEHRAN, Jun. 20 (MNA) – An NIORDC official while describing the export plans of oil products to the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, pointed to Tajikistan, Armenia and Georgia as Iran's new gas oil markets.

Pointing to 2.5 to 3 million liters of Iran's potential of gas oil export to Afghanistan, acting International Relations Director of National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company Esmaeil Hasham Firouz said currently countries such as Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were among Iran's major competitors in Afghanistan's gas oil market.

"We are using new mechanisms to raise export and sale of gas oil to the neighboring countries," Hasham Firouz underlined.

NIORDC official said Tajikistan's gas oil consumption market is 2.5 to 3 million liters per day, adding that Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are the countries in Central Asia which manufacture and sometimes export petroleum products.

"Tajikistan is the only country in the region which is considered as a potential market for the export of Iran's gas oil and oil products."

The official also mentioned Armenia and Georgia as customers of Iran's oil products, adding that Iran's petroleum products, especially diesel and LPG, were exported to Armenia and Georgia in single consignment.
